OUR TEAM
SHANNON PARKHURST
CEO & Founder
Hey Guys,
My name is Shannon Parkhurst, and as CEO and founder, I am writing on behalf of Lemon Aide Project. Our organization was founded on the mission to provide relief for the poor, distressed, and underprivileged through fundraising and distributing aid to indigent recipients who request funds for temporary emergency assistance.
At Lemon Aide Project, we work diligently to help continue financial sustainability in our community, and California as a whole. Helping those in dire need situations to get back on their feet and encouraging independence and sustainability will always be our passion. We are adamant about helping people who are working hard and putting in the effort to help themselves, which is why we have implemented strict rules and regulations in our verification process of each individual case. We fully verify every situation before distributing any funds and ensure that we are not just putting a band aid over a continuous need. We wish to prevent homelessness and improve the health of individuals and families who have been struck with recent hardship by providing a range of culturally sensitive and easily accessible social services.
We, at Lemon Aide Project, strive to be individual. What makes us unique and sets us apart from any other non-profit is the community project that hits close to home for a large portion of not just our members, but our state. California has been struggling due to a massive environmental crisis; wildfires. To keep the fire potential at ease, rolling blackouts are being put in place to keep the community deemed safe. While we are encouraged that preventative action is being taken, we have seen firsthand the negative impact that multi-day power outages can have on those affected. We wish to help those who may have lost food and who are not prepared for being without power and possible gas/water for multiple days. Even with these preventative measures being taken, wildfires still occur and disaster can strike with little to no warning. We have implemented a fund that is passionately worked on and driven by true hardship. Our very own Vice President lost her home unexpectedly in the Tubbs fire, while others among the board were evacuated. She feels extremely grateful that she and her family made it out safely but knows the pain and struggle when that comes along with losing everything and starting over with absolutely nothing. We are all dedicated in making a large impact on victims of both wildfires, and public safety power shut offs.
If you choose to donate to our charity, know that it goes directly to somebody in dire need. We are a
fully certified 501c3 nonprofit. All donations are fully tax exempt.
Those choosing to donate can also follow their personal funds and we will directly show you who you are helping and why.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our company. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

NATHANIEL REASON
Nathaniel likes helping people by teaching, he's always been told "If you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day teach him to fish and he’ll eat forever!" Nathaniel is passionate about creating “fishermen”. His motivation to be a board member comes from his experiences in life, when he was younger his family hit hard times and a family helped my mom get on her feet and completely changed the trajectory of our lives. Nathaniel wants to be able to do the same for others. He's an artist who is interested in music(singing and writing), sports( he was a professional kickboxer) and spending time outside. Lemon Aide Project is beyond happy to announce his acceptance upon election. Welcome Nathaniel!

I’ve always felt a deep sense of purpose and a calling to give back to my community. When I discovered the Lemon Aid Project and their mission to provide relief, support, and resources to people facing some of life’s hardest challenges, I knew I wanted to be involved. Whether helping families rebuild after wildfires, offering lifesaving overdose prevention tools, or providing shelter and ongoing support resonated with me because it represents true compassion in action.
Volunteering with Lemon Aid Project gives me the chance to contribute in meaningful ways, support neighbors in need, and be part of an organization that not only provides aid but also restores hope. I believe that when we come together to help one another, we make our whole community stronger, and I’m proud to play even a small part in that mission.

I have devoted much of my life to helping others during their most difficult moments. For many years, I volunteered as a Firefighter and EMT in Suisun City and San Francisco, where I met people at their most vulnerable afraid, in pain, or facing uncertainty. Those experiences left a lasting imprint on me, teaching me the profound importance of showing up with compassion, patience, and understanding when someone needs it most.
In 2013, I began a new chapter as a Train Conductor and Engineer, and now work as a Transportation Supervisor. While I am grateful for the path my career has taken, my heart has always called me to do more to serve my community in ways that bring comfort, stability, and hope to those facing hardship.
That calling led me to the Lemon Aide Project. Their mission to bring relief to families after disaster, provide lifesaving overdose reversal tools, and walk alongside people as they rebuild their lives resonated deeply with me. Partnering with Lemon Aide allows me to put my heart into action. Helping families rebuild after disaster, creating resources that restore dignity and support, and personally hand building Narcan relief boxes for our local community. Knowing that something I crafted with my own hands could one day save a life is both humbling and a constant reminder of why this work matters.
For me, this work is far more than providing aid it is about standing beside people in their struggles, offering hope when fear and uncertainty feel overwhelming, and helping them believe they are not alone. I am honored to be part of a team that turns compassion into action, lifts hearts, and strengthens the resilience of our community.
